Bliss: Kestau jak bah dgn. kami ... Buat tutorial baru. Sia pun udah boring dgn. sia punya xp style. Mau belajar jugak
Okeylah... atas request ramai org.. sia pun share dengan kamu semua tutorial utk. customize xp style.
Actually i don't use customize visual style frequently. I like the Media Center Style (the one that i'd posted previously). But honestly... sia pun sudah bosan dgn. original XP Style. Asyik2 warna biru aja (Silver and green also look dull). Microsoft mau kasik otak sia biru bah tu.
If you browse for new theme. Most of themes require a software to install it for your PC.. betul kan??? Example, ThemeXP and Windows Blinds. It's Shareware software and eat lots of your PC storage and memory too. I do surf around.. looking for freeware theme software... but no luck.
The website i like to share to you is offer a free theme and you can install it without using any software. This website will teach you how to patch uxthemes.dll file in your C:\Windows\System32 directory.
Still don't believe me??? take a look my newest screenshot of my XP Visual Style Preferances.
Believe me.. you do NOT need to download any software just to install your theme. All you need to do is download a "patch" for your uxthemes.dll and download the free theme they provided for you. It's cool i tell you.
To download the "patch" (with instructions), you can go to this link below:-

To download the themes... you can go to this link

Remember to read the Patch instructions carefully. If you're already a computer geek. There shouldn't be a problem to you. But make sure you had set System Restore in case you'd encountered a problem.
This is the step to install the patch
1. Themes are usually downloaded as a .zip file which must first be scanned using a virus scanning program, then unzipped to a temporary folder you can create on your desktop. Inside that folder you will most likely find a wallpaper image, .msstyles file, a .theme file and possibly a font file. it all depends on what the author has chosen to include in their theme package.
2. If your theme package contains one or more font files (.ttf) copy them to your C:\Windows\Fonts\ folder.
3. You may also find one or more .theme files (like axis.theme). Copy it/them to your C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\ folder. You will see a folder called Luna already in there, leave that alone, it is your existing Microsoft XP Theme.
4. Locate the .msstyles file, create a folder in the C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\ folder, I usually name it what the .msstyles file is named. (like axis.msstyles so the folder would be Axis).
5. If you find a file called ShellStyle.dll, create a folder called Shell inside the first folder you created. Create another folder inside that called NormalColor. Copy ShellStyle.dll into the NormalColor folder.
6. Most of the time you will unzip the file and everything will be properly ordered and only need to be copied to your C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\ folder.
7. To install the wallpaper copy the wallpaper image file to your My Pictures folder.
So.. you might wondering.. how my newest desktop look like?
